Just thought I would update the ol' blog with some things I've been doing/thinking about/etc.
1. Sleep. Sigh... Kezia has had a week of night-wakings. Thankfully last night, she slept through the night, but it left me wondering today... was it the ibprofin we gave her because we thought she might have molars coming in? Is it because she finally learned to put herself back to sleep (again)? Is it her nap schedule? Or is this just an anomaly & she'll be back to her old tricks tonight? Isn't parenthood the absolute greatest detective game of all time?
2. Playlists. I am no good at updating playlists once I get new songs, but I got a bunch of CDs for Christmas & wanted to get them all in playlists. I took me 2 DAYS. Seriously. To go through all our music and put them into different playlists, but I'm DONE. And I'm so happy. I added a bunch of playlists - "Make me Happy"(had to listen to that one a lot yesterday after a particularly bad night w/ Kezia) "Island" "Melancholy" "Fav 80/90s". Last night Jason & I had a game of guess that artist with our phones. It was so much fun to hear all these great songs we have - finally organized! Horray! And I even get to listen to them a lot with my Bluetooth headset I got for Christmas. Lovin' my music!
3. Dentist. Another sigh...So - we saw the dentist while we were in Murray & knew we needed a follow-up visit when we moved to Cedar. It just... took us a long time to check out insurances & dentists & make an appointment. Well, let's just say when we went on Tuesday, it wasn't such good news. Jason had 5 cavities & McKinley had 3. They are there right now getting them taken care of. Not looking forward to that bill - especially after Christmas! Thankfully, somehow I have excellent teeth. I've only had one cavity in my life. It appears Ireland has her mommy's teeth, but looks like we will need to start a braces fund for her. Yay! :-/
4. New Year Goals. So - I have kind of been avoiding these. I looked at my New Year "progress ideas" from last year & I'm not gonna lie. It was kind of depressing. With the exception of maybe 2 things, I could copy/paste the entire list for this year. It took me a while to get past that & re-evaluate for this year. I decided I REALLY want ones that I can literally check off - not so many ones like "be nicer." That's so hard to evaluate. So - with that said, here is my list for 2012. Only 9 things.
#1. Get to bed by 10pm. Lights out by 10:30.
#2. 50 scriptures/quotes onto .jpg files to put on the digital frame.
#3. Memorize 20 scriptures
#4. Temple - 10x
#5. Girls bday book pictures & Christmas pics sorted by the 10th of each month.
#6. Music organized - 10 playlists - CHECK!!
#7. Learn how to use aperature, exposure, and shutter speed on my new camera.
#8. Clean out my desktop computer. Back-up & organize.
#9. Learn 10 different ways to do my hair!
